CAMP LIKELY - Spring 2010
What an exciting season for Camp Likely! Registrations are coming in, work bees are being planned, ideas for summer camp are percolating!
Thank you for being a part of our Camp Likely team! We appreciate the prayer and financial support. It is because of people believing in God’s purposes for Camp Likely that it is possible for the camp to operate.
The board is actively dreaming into, and planning for, the possibility of owning the camp property plus about 15 more acres. We’re planning for 10 new cabins, a recreation building and more! Exciting stuff!!
We have been able to get in to camp about a month early this year. The camp had very little damage over the winter and we are very grateful for this! Three work bees are being planned. The dates are:
Projects for this year include a new building for the generator, adding to the climbing wall, replumbing the Director’s trailer, etc. If you would like to be involved or would like more information, please contact the camp.
We are fund-raising for the following: vinyl covers for 40 mattresses - $1500, playground equipment – desperately needed, and staff bursaries. If you are donating for a specific project please let us know.
We are looking for more staff for the summer. Some of the positions needing to be filled are:
- female and male counselors
- nurse/first aid
- assistant cook
- maintenance help, etc.
